Hungary’s tournament so far has been a huge success. The Hungarian team finished at top in their group, ahead teams as Iceland, Portugal and Austria.
Just to reach the knock-out phase of the Euro 2016 tournament is a major success for the team, but they are of course hoping for more.
Belgium is a very hard opponent and Hungary really needs to step up even more to have a chance. But drawing against both Iceland and Portugal gives them confidence. The win against Austria was even more impressive.
Prior to this game, there is a little doubt about Zoltan Gera. The key player was brought off at the break against Portugal in the last group game, but he is expected to fight through his pain and play this game.
Attila Fiola is also a doubt ahead of this game.

Belgium has had a pretty good tournament so far, even though they lost the first game against Italy.
After that, the Belgian team has really stepped up, with a 3-0 win over Ireland and a crucial 1-0 win against Sweden.
That win secured their spot as second team in the group and they were actually really lucky, since they are now facing Hungary in the 1/8 final. Compare that to the group winner, Italy, who is facing Spain in their first knock-out game.
Mousa Dembele is still a doubt, but Mark Wilmots’ midfield is strong enough even without him.
In our opinon, there is clear favorite in this game. Belgium is not only a way better team, they also has some absolute world class players in their team.
Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois. The list goes on and on….
Therefore, we believe the fairytale of Hungary ends here and now. Belgium is just too good.
We put our money on Belgium to win to 67/100 (1,67) at bet365.
